Junior Sailing with rcyc

Did you know that RCYC Members’ children and grandchildren can learn to sail with our Junior Sailing programme?

Our knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteers run dinghy training sessions for youngsters to grow their skills and confidence on the water.  We’ve had up to twenty children enjoying themselves on Feva, Pico and Hartley 10 dinghies. It’s been enormous fun for the children, the helpers and the spectators ashore.  We’ve had lots of laughs and huge smiles! Junior Sailing at the RCYC is all about enjoyment and gaining confidence on and in the water. If your children have friends who’d like to take part, the sessions are open to non-members for a small fee.

Its back again for this year

Junior Sailing is back again! The news for the new season is that the toilets and showers have been upgraded providing better facilities for the children.  As in previous seasons, please keep an eye on the RCYC Facebook page as this is where any updates or cancellation of sessions will be posted. The dates for the coming season are below.

We’d love to see you and your children here with us.  It’s a great way to get them learning independence on the water – and a lovely way to meet other members on the beach.
