MEANDERING
WHAT IS MEANDERING?
Skippers with boats; sail and power. Crew; inexperienced and experienced, get together on Thursday mornings to go out on the water. Skippers and crew are matched together and a lunchtime venue is decided. It’s a two hour sail, a two hour lunch and a two hour return sail, ending with tea and cake at the clubhouse if desired.
MORE ABOUT MEANDERING
It’s a bring your own lunch, snacks and preferred drinks. Some enjoy a glass of wine, others a non alcoholic beverage or just a good old thermos of tea.
One or two boats (depending on numbers) will anchor and others will tie up. Some like to eat with their crew, others will climb aboard another boat for a mixed social lunch.
The benefits are amazing. Meeting many members, making friends, learning from the experienced sailors, trading one’s life stories and if you are really lucky seeing dolphins.
To find out more come and join us for lunch, we really are a friendly bunch. Members’ guests are welcome.
