Formal dinner and speeches to mark the day on which Britain triumphed in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. This historic marine conflict was fought off the Cape of Trafalgar, offshore from Cadiz, Spain, with forces from Spain and France clashing with Britain.  There will be the usual toasts and readings from around the table.   We are also honoured to have Mike Nixon OBE to entertain as our guest speaker for the evening.

Chicken Liver Pate or Broccoli and Stilton Soup

Fillet of Beef or Pan Fried Hake or Celeriac Steak all served with Fondant Potato, French Beans, Parsnip Puree and Jus

Poached Pears with Chocolate Sauce or Fruit Salad and Chantilly Cream

Cheese & Port

 Captain Mike Nixon OBE is a retired Naval aviator and a lifelong sailor. He will speak about Admiral Nelson the man, the national culture of the times, and will touch on the battle itself and its influence on 19th century sea control.
