New Wave Night – Alex Carter shares his stories from sailing around the world

Alex Carter is a former member of RCYC and local sailor from Stithians. He has published The Edge of Life: A Risk Worth Taking, chronicling a round-the-world voyage marked by medical crises, rescue missions and the apparent loss—and unlikely recovery—of his boat.

This is a true story, a sailor’s journey like no other about chasing dreams, falling in love, disaster, tragedy and survival against insurmountable odds. The Edge of Life is a first-hand account.
