The Men’s Dinner is one of the Club’s oldest traditions, stemming from 1872 and held continuously apart from interruptions during the War years until 2020, when it had to be cancelled because of lockdown.

Our principal guest and speaker, is Mervyn Wheatley; mariner extraordinaire, competitor in most of the AZABs and several OSTARs, perhaps best known for completing his last transatlantic in Queen Mary II.

Dress Code: Black Tie

Menu:

To Start: Smoked Salmon Terrine with Bruschetta or Insalata Tricolore (V)

Mains: Boeuf Bourguignon or Beetroot Bourguignon (V)  served with Green vegetables and creamed potatoes or Roasted Hake served with new potatoes, green salad and watercress sauce.

Desserts: Panna cotta with berry coulis or Fruit Salad

To Finish: Cheese and Port followed by coffee.
