Informal Supper with Peter Philips, telling tales of Sea Adventures and Survival
Peter Philips is an ex policeman, often described as a ‘part time madman’ he will be joining us for an off the cuff talk with dinner. He will tell us about his many exploits both on the water and when in the police force. Once when he was crossing the Atlantic trying to break the sailing Blue Riband, the vessel broke up and they were rescued by the biggest container ship in the world at the time. It was even more interesting as at the first attempt the ship ran them down but the second attempt was more successful.
