Bunting Making Workshop
Some years ago, a group of members made metres of bunting to decorate the marquee. Sadly, much of it has now faded or is rotten! So, as the nights draw in and the days get colder, Rachel Tranter is proposing to run another Bee to titivate the existing bunting and/or replace it and she needs some helpers.
As before you don’t have to be experts on the sewing machine, as there will be lots of other sorting, cutting out, and placing colours to do. It will be as much a social event as a workshop! Coffee and tea will be available. The first meeting is on Thursday 2 October at 10am, upstairs in the Committee Room. If you can bring good scissors (or a rotary cutter) for fabric that would be great. Some of you may wish to donate fabric you already have, and donations of cash towards costs would be most welcome too. The stipulation is however just red/white and blue, cottons or polycottons, just geometric patterns, no flowers etc.
This is over two morning sessions and if you are really enjoying it you may want to take some home and carry on there.
The second session will be on Thursday October 16th.
Please contact Rachel if you are interested in coming along so she has an idea of numbers:
